What you need to know

Scapula myofascial release

When assessing symmetry prior to working on a horse, please ensure the horse stands square. Lighting is also a contributing factor and its never easy because the sun moves and so do horses.
In these picture we aimed for all the aforementioned to be correct before taking pictures.
Look at the various shapes of the muscle tone over the scapulas before and after a session of fascial releases.

Contributing factors that would cause asymmetry:
Poor saddle fitting
Poor riding techniques
Lunging in a ring and the surface is not flat
Using gadets whilst lunging and or riding
Poor conformation
Injuries
Outdated training method of: Ride the horse through it
Compensation

The horse below was
standing square with front
legs in both pictures
